Joyce Inouye M.A.Ed., recognized a need to create a resource for those seeking information and assistance in the area of learning difficulties with students with special learning needs. To fulfill this growing need, she has created a quarterly newsletter that will be available to all ACSI schools. The content will include updated information on the latest research and laws, strategies and applicable, usable learning tools for your school in serving and ministering to those with special needs and learning differences.
From Dr. Jerry Haddock; Southern California Regional Director of ACSI Schools:
"Joyce presently has a private practice in La Habra, California ‘Christian Educational Therapy’ and is located adjacent to the ACSI office in the Beach Professional Center."
"Joyce Inouye M.A.Ed. former Christian school Specialist in Learning Disabilities and Christian Educational Therapy, author and creator of www.childd.org, speaker and authority in the field of Learning Disabilities, is highly esteemed by other specialists throughout the Southern California region. Her education as a Specialist and experience of over 27 years within the field of learning disabilities and learning differences, has given her the knowledge and expertise with students with special needs in specialized, private and public schools of all grades. She pioneered the Special Needs Network of the Association of Christian Schools International, which has grown to serve more than 115 Christian schools that are working together to meet the special needs of their students. Out of this, the Special Needs Institute was developed where Joyce helps to orchestrate the selection and scheduling of seminar leaders for the annual ACSI Teachers’ Convention in Anaheim."
